    basically whilst am sitting at the computer, can i change the bpm of tracks,

    but..

    without actually laoding the track into a program before hand (like abelton)

    something like media player or winamp?

    Atomix virtual dj is a good laugh for messing around on your pc. shows two turntables on the screen and you can mix mp3's into each other changing the bpm's as you go (either time stretched or not you can choose) - i don't think windows media player shifts the pitch so you get the wierd time stretched effect if you increase the play speed.
