Multi region DVD

    Multi region DVD

    Just made my little bro buy me the new PVD Global DVD for me for xmas.

    Stole it off him but it wont play on my DVD player, it says "Wrong Region" on screen. Crap eh?:mad:

    Its from HMV on import, cos it aint released in UK yet.

    Its NTSC instead of PAL if that helps.:spangled:

    Anyway of makin it play?

    Or is it my fault for stealing it and prematurely attempting to watch it before xmas? heh heh...Will i get a lump of coal in my stocking?:cry:

    check the web, your dvd might have a all region hack....... if it dont you wont be able to play it.

    Yeah u need to check if your dvd player is multi regional or it might just play pal versions:)

    Use Smartripper to copy the DVD to yer hard disk. There's a checkbox called "Region Free" which will make it region free (funnily enough). Then use Nero to burn it back to a blankk DVD. If its multi layer (over 4.7gb) then a good program to use is DVD2one which will compress it enough for Nero to burn it to a blank DVD.
    If you haven't got a PC or a DVD writer then ignore everything I just said.

    Mines Pioneer, it would play a piece of toast:)
    I have my younger bro and sis a DVD player for Xmas, I made sure it was multi region before buying for obvious reasons:)
