MSN virus/trojan Last night I recieved a msg from one of my contacts saying something along the lines of "hey up there! Is this a picture of you?" followed by a link to a pic. Stoopidly (only because it was from someone i knew and it was plausable) I clicked the link! Now computer is infected with spyware and some trojan which opens others contacts online and sends them the same msg with link. But I recieve it back off them. It the started randomly starting up programs within windows and also kept closing chat windows in msn! :evil: I've run Adaware, Spybot which pick up the spyware and fix it... and AVG never picked up anything initially. After rebooting and then when i start MSN AVG picks up this trojan.. even if i heal/move to vault it simply reappears..... Any ideas.... ? I'm normally pretty good with removing this kinda shite... or find a guide on net but no luck as of yet...
dodgy's guide has everything in it. find the name of the virus, google for cleaning tips it's probably running in memory, turn sys restore off etc
