look in the add/remove programs part of windows. If its not in the main bit, check "windows components"

alternatively, load up version 4, un-check the box that makes it auto load.

If its not in the add/remove programs menu, i would just delete it manually!

The same has happened to me and I can't find an uninstaller or use the add/remove programs section:spangled:

I couldn't just delete 4 when I tried. It kept opening up and running in the background therefore allowing people to speak to me when I had already closed 6.1. All I did was go into an options or preferences bit in 4 and there was an option letting me choose not to have it running in the background:D

Since then no one has spoke to me through 4 so it must just be sitting quietly taking up harddrive space:)

Delete the .exe file (something like msnmsg.exe) and when windows tries to load it up, it won't be there.

Windows XP doesn't regard it as a problem, it just ignores it.

That was all I could do as I had the same problem and there was no uninstaller.

    Peace :cool2:

Nass is right though, best way to do it.

Although some people are scared of the fact that windows xp says "these files are hidden" the first time u try do open the program files directory lol
