no the price of cds is killing the industry!! they reduce profits and mark-ups on them, then i ll maybes consider buying more!

And i buy more vinyl than is sensible, so i support it that way :)

as selfish as it sounds, my finance is more important to me, than the music industry!

MP3 downloads ARE killing the industry.

people ARE downloading MP3 instead of buying CDs and records, and it IS having a MASSIVE effect on companys (Lightning records for one!)
lightning sighted MP3s as the main reason for their reduced sales that lead to them closing last week.
L-Vee is thinking about quittng production because he isnt making enough cash becasue people are d/ling his tunes instead of buying them! his albumn was available for d/l weeks before it hit the shops, having a massive impact on sales!

its not just the price of CD's, cos they are cheaper in other countries, and the industry is still deing there!

i buy loads of vinyl, so i do my bit.

i dont think over £10 for an albumn takes the piss.

think of how many times u listen to it?
think of how much work the producer has put into it?
whats £15 really? its fuck all....IMO.....

Most record labels have mp3s on their sites, and yet
they re asking people to stop downloading mp3s? Look at Max Graham...5 mixes and every one of his songs to download. When The shot down the space ship on independence day which method did it? Shooting the outter shell of the ship or planting a bomb in the core? Weird analogy i know, but u see my point? They re just shifting the blame, when they re as guilty as hell for they re own fall!

if your passionate about music, £15/30 every week, or more for some of us, is a lot of money...

Sorry Revel, im gonna stand up for this on, Record Labels shoot themselves in the foot!

Especially when only about £2 of it goes to the actual artist that put all the effort in in the first place!

That's what I’m saying revel, I will happily pay an artist directly to download a high quality mp3 of their latest work. I think 6 quid is about right.

The record companies are fucked because they litigate rather than innovate.
