Morning How is everyone today?? Did u all have a good weekend?? I went out and got competly smashed on Sat (not good)
I'm suffering from major 'oh christ what did i say to xxx and do to xxx' from friday night. So im retracing my steps and contacting people to find out just HOW much of a nuisance i made of myself. Saturday i watched 4 movies back to back : Notorious, Mallrats, Garden State and finished off with The Breakfast club. I was supposed to go to a 'rave themed' party for people in their 30's, but lack of an outfit (rather ironic since im a clubber) and a stinking hangover from 2 hours sleep in a travellodge had me calling in sick for that. I did manage to get nicely lubricated on the evening with 3 bottles of leffe blonde, then 3 bottles of leffe brun to kill the pain though. Sunday, and i was up with a vengance to sweat out the excesses of the weekend, and hit the sauna at 10am. I was getting a bit concious that i hadnt given my lass any attention at all that weekend so i hatched a plan to go for a 'romantic walk' around Virginia Water lake which we did later that afternoon and it was splendid. One bad thing was that my car started up very strangely on the way back from the gym and appeared to have trouble idling at the 600-700 rpm that its supposed to be doing. I researched this later on the internet and found that the 996 has an idle control valve that is prone to malfunction if it gets dirty. I'll look into cleaning THAT and also the MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor that could also cause a lumpy idle if that gets dirty. Afternoon on sunday and i dedicated the afternoon to smoking my new hookah pipe with melon molasses, and playing Metal Gear solid 4 while listening to Notorious B.I.G albums. Lastly, in the evening i cooked spaghetti bolognese which had a sauce i reduced for nearly 3 hours. I went with the Antonio Carluccio reccomendation which was NOT to use garlic in this dish at all which would spoil its authenticity. It was a good suggestion and we enjoyed it immensely! In the evening my lass wanted to watch Revolutionary Road, which caused somewhat of a tiff in my household as i declared that Top Gear would be on at 8pm and me, being the boss of the household, would be watching THAT before anything else happend.... ... Needless to say, a compromise was reached where i watched half of Top Gear and then immediately turned over when that TOOL Steven Fry came on. That self important pompous prig REALLY boils my piss with his 'im dissecting society' superior tone so i was happy to watch the movie. It goes without saying that Revolutionary Road was a brilliant film, and stellar performances were delivered by Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet. Having said that i did find Winslet's acting a little 'stage esque'. I was in bed by about 11pm. Job done.
Thats quite possibly the greatest compliment i've ever had - considering that is one of my favourite films in the entire universe!
