more nightmares from spud's adventures with wireless..

okay... i searched around, and found a firmware update for my router, which is considered to be worthwhile, i flashed the firmware, all seemed well at first... but - my wireless connection has completely fucking disapeared... nothing... nada... zilch...

the router works, if i connect it to my computer by rj45 / usb it's fine... but it just doesnt show up as being a wireless device anymore...

this was the page with the firmware update: http://adsltech.com/adsl/FMupdate.htm

and i found this page of 'issues' including one about wireless problems... but to be fair, the solution seems, well - a pain in the arse, and thats being kind... :spangled:

    help

god damn it... can nothing just be fucking easy? :(

mine aint workin yet, no... i think i have my house all ready to go, jsut needs ordering (tonight, pipex www.pipex.co.uk ) and im hoping all will go well... when i go to order it still says 'your line appears to have a line sharing device that may completely fuck ur application up' (or sumthin like that :p )

i really do hope there's no more surprises... if i get told i have to have more stuff done to my line my comp is goin out the fuckin window...

as well as that, all the fone stuff was put under the floorboards when we had the house done, so im sure the rents will love it if i have to pull the fuckin floor up... :(
