    Mad EP.
    (Adnoiseam)

BACKLASH BEATDOWN- The ultimate collaboration- The clubnight Backlash,
usually known for its more harder music policy chills the fuck out for once
and teams up with Beatdown Records- arguably Newcastle's best independent record store to bring an occasional offshoot evening specialising in all things downbeat, electronic and well a bit different- leftfield hiphop, dubstep, electronica, soundscape, dark ambient, the odd soundtrack- inessence good stoner music that hovers between shit that you like to listen to in the house and head-nodding stuff that you would like to hear when you are out but are rarely given the chance to.

Headlining the gig will be MAD EP...Mad..who? I can hear you say..Well trust
us on this one...If we had to make a comparison with people you do know then
the following folk come do come to mind Early DJ SHADOW, Prefuse 73, The
instrumental stuff on labels like Anticon and more recent releases on Ninja
Tunes...this guy is cetainly on par with all of them. He is a New
York-based classical musician and electronic composer who makes dark, rich
and beautiful instrumental hiphop. His albums to date are all
must-haves-“Eating Movies” in 2004, Not Afraid Of Spiders in 2006 and most
recently “The Madlands”, a gathering of three mini-albums forming a very
coherent entity, finally sees the light of the day in the form of a triple
package showcasing Mad EP's most delicate and soundtrack-oriented work to
    date.
    Check out his music at

supporting him will be DJ'S Flabski, armaged:DON and backlash.
