    to be fair pike, traditional names are so last year.

    Besides, I bet that poll doesn't take into account the number of cartoon characters and teddy bears that are pushing the stats up artificially.

    I thought under muslim law you couldn't call anything mohammed?? Didn't they gan akka when some kid named his bear mohammed??

    no, I was making the point that lotsa muslims have the same name whereas the christians have many so there will be a skew towards that minority. It don't mean that muslims are taking over the country which I took to be Pikes point.

    let's all tell each other what the other ones meant :)

    The reason is probably simple.

    Say you have 5 muslims having a baby they all call their baby Mohammed there is 5 case of new borns being called Mohammed.

    Stick 5 brits together and you get the the neams Chardonay, Mercedes, Burberry, White Star and Lambert-Butler.

    Its obviously going to be Mohammed the most popular.
