Is there ANY way to save them?

Buy an old phone (nokia 5110etc for about 15quid for example) , get its IMEI number (the long number when u type in *#06# ). Then pay a guy on a market store to reflash the barred mobile with the old phones IMEI number.

That way the network thinks its the old phone. Most of them charge about £20.

Or you can learn how to do it yourself.

If the barred phones a nokia, then most, liek the Durham market stall will do this. The hardest to reflash are the Sony phones (J5, Z7 etc) and usually Samsungs but theres no harm in asking!

Can the 8310's be done with this method, thought they needed different expensive equipment or sumfin..

yeah but the old ones are DCT3 phones ie 3310
the 8310 is a DCT4 and requires a different process! :spangled:

I had to sell em abroad, the actual chip on the 8310 needed replacing instead of a simple flash and i got sick of hunting so i sent em to me m8 in italy as a last resort as they aint barred there..

How do u know this? did u take it to the market thingy?

u simply need a a datacable to fit the 8310 and unlocking software , the one i have is jic dct4 unlocker cracked by cyber , resets all the locks , even if its barred !!!!

if u take a mobile to b unlocked that has been reported lost or stolen then most places now won't touch it, simply cos they can get done if they unlock it.........

a lad at work did an insurance job on his fone & sold it to his colleague........she is now stuck with a mobile that doesn't work & she can't get it unlocked!!!

I couln't be arsed to travel, im a lazy cunt, i just talked to a few people i know about it and they said its not worth the hassle.
