MK X - Digital Society Promo I was asked to do an interview and promo mix ahead of my debut at DS next weekend and thought i would share it on here also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey people this week we caught up with Infrasonic head honcho, MK X, to see what he's been getting up to and to give everyone a taste of whats in store on the 11th December @ MyHouse in Leeds ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Mik, hows things been going? You've had a busy year by the sounds of things. Hey Neil I am really good thanx. Rushed off my feet with statements before the festive period but apart from that all good. Yeah it has been a very busy year but very enjoyable. How do u think Infrasonic Recordings has been progressing this year? are you happy with how things are going?? 2009 has been without doubt our biggest year. We have continued to develop our sound and our roster and we are now in a very good place as a company. To be recognised by our peers this year as one of their favourite brands has been incredible so we could not have wished for a better 12 months to be honest. What advice do you give to producers that want to get signed to Infrasonic? We have always taken chances with new talent and we will continue to do so if we feel the quality and talent is there. It has been our policy from day one, so if you feel your productions are strong enough don’t hesitate to send them to us and we will do our best to give you some valid feedback. Are there any of your own productions that we should look out for? I have quite a bit coming up in the New Year under my own MK X guise that I am really excited about. I have been producing under my Solis alter ego for the last 12 months and the last few months have been particular successful for me. My Solis sound is very uplifting and has been supported from the likes Armin and PVD etc however I am swaying towards more progressive elements now and have my debut E.P due out in February on InfraProgressive so keep an eye out for that one as its sounding really cool. What would you describe your style of trance to be? Progressive elements with plenty of bite. Otherwise real big hands in the air trance. Have you been heavily influenced by any other artists in particular? One of the joys of running the label is the diversity of sounds I have access to. All of my artists have something a bit different and I respect them all as producers however I do try to incorporate as many of my own ideas and sounds into my productions. Are you looking forward to the Enhanced DS Invitation Xmas event? I can’t wait mate. I have spent many a night in Leeds having a great time at My House so to finally be invited down for my debut has been fantastic. Ill hopefully see plenty of you down at the front. How are you looking for 2010? I am really excited about what next year will bring. Like I say this year has been particularly successful for the label but I think next year will be even bigger. We now have everything in place from the bottom up over as a company and have taken more staff on to help with the work load so we are all really looking forward to what the future may bring. And lastly, is there anything you can tell us about yourself that people would'nt know?
