Milner Signs James Milner has signed a five-year deal with Newcastle United in a deal that could be worth up to £5.25 million to Leeds United. The young midfielder, one player Leeds had seemed determined to keep despite their relegation to The Coca-Cola Championship, has already put pen-to-paper with The Magpies. Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell was concerned that he could lose his teenage starlet when interviewed on Thursday, and his fears have been justified following the announcement of the deal. The Premiership's youngest-ever scorer is believed to have deliberated over the transfer due to his allegiance with Leeds, but the pressure on the Elland Road outfit to sell has proved too strong. Tottenham have previously failed in a bid to sign the Horsforth-born youngster, and Sir Bobby Robson will be delighted at landing one of his chief summer targets. "I know the fans will be disappointed but when a Premiership offer comes in," explained director Peter Lorimer to Sky Sports News. "He is not built like a Wayne Rooney, he is a spindly kid but his attitude is fantastic and once he gets into that frame he is going to be a super player."
A dont know much about him but there's been a few teams after him inc Man Utd / Tottenham - shall see what happens cos i know its alot of money to pay for someone who's more or less not dont anything really ! I mean Edgar Davids is on a free at the moment so why the fuck havent they put a transfer bid in for him when Tottenham are meant to be heading the chase ?!?!
