    Midi Controllers

    Im looking to buy a midi controller to use with traktor/ableton

    Been looking at the Vestax VCI-100

    anyone got/used one? or any suggestions on another controller

    Depends on what programme you want to use because they are totally different

    for Ableton you'd be better off with something like this

    Which one is that at the bottom Si?

    The Behringer BCD 2000 is good, but it's not directly compatible with Traktor. Some German on the Native instruments forum made his own software to run with it, which does the job, but has a tendency to stop working when it feels like it :down:

    heard the vestax ones are canny.

    one of the punter "club" dj's in shields blew the one in dusk (goodness knows why they need a midi controller to play a galaxy playlist till the sky turns a dark shade of grey and the dead rise from there graves)

    but ai, blew it cos he put the wrong power supply in.

    the fucking reject.

    Get a Allen & Heath Xone 3d. Its a quality mixer and has an awesome controller too. It works with Ableton and Traktor really well and only costs around £1400.

    that bottom one is an X-Session Pro, its only about £70 so if its no good for you then you aint lost much

    my mate swears by Faderfox stuff but its not really any good for Traktor
