aye adam's got the same problem as you. sounds like a right nightmare. Works on XP and 7, but not on vista tho
Never fear - traktor kontrol X1 is out in a few weeks. I reckon i'm gonna upgrade to that and go all digital.

I had a go at the NI training sesh, was the second group of people to use them, nifty controllers very impressed!!!

I dont think so adam, although fizz will obviously have the full answer. As far as i know, all it is, is a control device. It also requires a separate soundcard in order to get the audio channels OUT of your pc/mac into your actual mixer, or direct to your speakers.
Your right Brid, It simply controls EVERYTHING in Traktor Pro apart from the mixer. So you would need an external mixer to control the EQ's, Faders, Gains and Crossfader. It was developed to suit those DJ's who use an external dj mixer such as a DJM 800. I have a feeling there will be an all-in-one controller from NI sometime announced this year if the Kontrol X1 sells well- http://www.thebreakdown.co.uk/2010/01/08/native-instruments-traktor-kontrol-x1-x2-or-even-x4/ Pop in tomorrow and have a look at it and other controllers of course.
wink wink, nudge nudge and all that! hope so, because the X1 really doesent suit me - i dont have all the other kit behind me, so it'd be no use. however, if you had everything else - it'd be a fucking valuable bit of kit
Dunno if i'd like fader controls on a midi controller ...... taking the mixer out of the loop feels a bit wrong to me .... although with the price of a DJM these days (1300 quid!) then i can completely understand why people might wanna do that! Got my denon hs5500 up on ebay as we speak. I'll find out soon if it was all worth it!
