    It's a load of bollox.

    I'd sooner live in Boro than places like Brixton, Moss Side etc.

    Lets see, get asked for 30p for the bus in boro or get shot in Brixton...:rolleyes:

    I love how the program uses some areas of cities like places in Merseyside but then singles Boro out as a whole....and since when has it been a city?

    Yes Boro has alot of industry, but its far from a shit hole. compared to some of the list.

    Its about 20 times as nice as Preston which isnt even on there. Stats prove absolutly nothing if they actually came to boro for more than the hour or so they visited they'd have know more about the area.

    The only solution to all of this would be for Aaron to be allowed go on channel 4 and take the piss out of their city in retaliation.

    i'll use the middle east as a VERY loose example:

    to us: (the outsiders e.g us) it is a wretched strange place with different weird customs where they shite on the streets and shoot at eachother for fun etc etc etc and whatever other stereo/archetype you can muster.

    to them: (the habitants e.g you and borovians) think that they live in a fantastic place and that shitting on the street is a completly liberating feeling, and that the west should buck their idea's up.

    harsh and very irrellevant comparison - i know, and i'm sure its not all that bad in boro. but it is rough as a badgers arse.

    plus the fact that it was going on house prices etc. not body counts

    The program was about the worst places to live, not the worst cities.

    Middlesborough is a shithole, and I feel able to say that because I grew up in one.

    The survey is done by Local Authority area. Therefore as Middlesbrough is a relatively small place, it is one Local Authority. London is much larger so is split into 31 (i think they said) Local Authorities.

    What some people might all lump as Newcastle, is split into, Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and South Tyneside.

    Its the fairest way of doing it IMO, and Boro came worst. End of.

    North Tyneside is essentially Benton, Whitley Bay, Wallsend and North Shields.
    South Tyneside is Jarrow, Hebburn, South Shields and Boldon.

    i was scared to walk round that place - my auntie lived on the back end of where the gorbols used to be. one of those new frilly housing estates sitting on top of about 40 hidden corpses and a ragged history of drug trade and the dissolution of society.

    she didnt really read it that way when she bought the place tho :lol:
