What that means is that I can download ANY MS product (Inlcuding stuff like Visual Studio 2005 Pro, Server 2003, Exchange etc etc)....FOR FREE!! Its directly from them aswell so its all licenced etc Pretty class if you ask me Gona cain it like
Re: Microsoft Student Alliance thing I had access to this too.. but the lecturer missed my name and email off the list.. therefore I got fuck all. Not a happy bunny. Not that it matters like.. I'm aiming on doin an MCAD in sept so I should get more access.. just in time for Vista too.. hopefully that'll be on there..
I'll bet there some clause in there were you can't upgrade to normal versions of stuff with paying full whack. ie you try the program while your a student, get to love the program, then a few years down the line its out of date you want the new version but have to pay full whack. Microsoft know how to get customers, i guess thats why bill is one of the richest men on the earth.
yeah, it'll be only valid while you're a student and studying that particular course. There's similar agreements for staff and microsoft software - but it has to be for work purposes and you can't physically copy the software - i.e. burn it to disk.
aye thats true about disk burning though...the downloads are .iso files and they say you need to burn them to cd
and exchange! i need some practice with setting them up like so will probably put an old work PC to use!
You're only entitled to it if your course is based in the school of engineering (which it should be). Get yourself dahn to pandon basement, look on the machine at the front on the right, it has the images on the drive
