Has got a 12 month contract at Sunderland for just being available for selection in over 50% SAFC game while has been there. Well done Mickey a great effort. He has scored 2 goals on his return to SOL & started an impressive 3 games.

Elsewhere @ SOL, top goal scorer Marcus Stewart looks like he wont get a new deal & will leave on a free in the summer unless he takes a HUGE pay cut. Marcus has scored 11 goals from 29 starts.

Bridges is finished, and if we go up under no circumstances at all should Stewart be offered a new deal

Why shouldnt he be offered a deal? He is your top goal scorer after all.

I know I want/pray our top goal scorer signs another 1 year deal

Elliott is top scorer, Stewart is finished his legs have gone, the biggest mistake we can make as a club if we go up is to show loyalty to certain players, we need to be honest with the likes of Whitley, Robinson and Stewart and say "thanks, but the first division is your level" we have to look for a better calibre of player if we are to stay up. That is what Keegan did with you lot when you went up he turned round to the likes of David Kelly who scored all your goals and said "cheers but we have to move on" he then replaced him with Andy Cole and you lot have not looked back since.

Im very surprised Bridges hes got a contract, glad its just a 12 month though.

Marcus Stewart has scored a few goals this season, but hes getting old and couldnt cut it if we get promoted. Also he is on 20 grand a week so we need him off the wage bill.

His contracts probably a pay as you play.

Bridges is total gash like....

I dont get all the hype over bridges - he's done nowt and tbh i dont think he ever will - he's finished unfortunately - always gonna be picking up injuries every other week...

As for Stewart - he DESERVES a new contract and i think he will get one. He has been out best player for the last 10/11 games!

He has that experience we need to keep us up when we go up next season - granted he may not be the quickest anymore but he is an experienced pro and he could do a job

funny how he shows his best form when his contract has only 6 months left. If he showed the same attitude and form when he signed then i would have no prob with him getting another contract.

Don't think bridges or stewart should be given a new deal.
Bridges has been finished or a while which is unfortunate as he use to be quality! Don't really rate stewart (never have).

Phillips is shit he was a one season wonder when quinn made all his goals and has done fook all since then

Not so super Kev is now 3rd choice at Southampton.
