Bev etc stayed here last year, said it was central to everywhere.

Leidseplein is a canny hike from the main amsterdam centre like, there,s some canny ones just down from centraal that are reasonable , the orange tulip and the van gelder !!

Iv never been so i wouldnt know - remind me to slap bev on friday

The Bulldog looks ok, doesnt seem pricey either.

mick stayed in Leidseplein when we went to dance valley and i had to get a taxi from centraal to theirs to find them lol !!

The Bulldog has pros & cons. The positives are that it is centrally located; reasonably priced; the room, towels and linens were clean; they provide shampoo & soap; they will hold your bags both before check in and when you check out at no charge and basic breakfast was included. We had an apartment which was large, it had fridge; microwave; cooktop; stereo; tv and a canal view. We chose the hotel from its website and posts on trip advisor and made reservations by phone with email confirmation, all staff we dealt with were pleasant. Some people may take issue that it is located on the red light district and that soft drugs are openly used publicly. The negatives were that the apartment looked nothing like photos on their website or on trip advisor, discribing it as 5 star gives you a false impression. It was shabby, the furniture had seen better days; there was no shower curtain; no safe (which is listed as an amenity); the mattress was mushy and the pillows were flat.

those apartments are the bollocks man!! its only 5 mins walk from the train station. and imagine the crack if loads of us piled in one?

its pretty cheap too, the 4 bedroom one works out at about 86 euros for all three nights. we paid over 90 last time and that was only for two
