    Rightio,av just lookes at how much space is left on my hard drive and out of 40GB ive only got about 9GB left..

    I want to take my storage space up to about 120GB,What i need to know is how much this will cost and how much it will cost to put the memory in my computer.And were i get the memory form

    confusion...

    you are referring to your hard disk space as your "memory" mate.
    think your a little confoosed mebbe :)

    your memory, basically, is the ram thats in your machine, temprary storage space. however your hard disk is where you store all your files etc permenantly............

    hard disks dont cost a lot these days...just go out and buy the biggest you can afford...

    search on google or summit for place called "Computer Orbit" in gateshead...reasonable prices there.....

    back off to bed now cos am shattered :D

    Yeah thats it my storage space,not my memory to run programmes,iam happy with that coz its 256mb,the bit i need is the GB bit the main storage space..

    Cheers anyhow,but more help would be appreciated so i know how much roughly its gonna cost.

    Theres a place in Stockton called Mr P.C Computers, there the best and cheapest round the Teesside way mate. They should be in the yellow pages.

    Go with rob on this one, overclockers are next day delivery and fairly reasonable. Ordered heaps of stuff from them

    If iam gona get more storage it will be after xmas,but with the 40gb i have now,and the,lets say 80gb iam gonna get,will they be put together to make 120gb or will i just have to take the 40gb out and put the 80gb in?

    and as far as the instalation goes,iam not that good with that sort of stuff,but al have a go anyhow..

    Ya can run both HD side by side. Tis easy enough to set up.

    Its easy to attach 2 hard drives to one IDE cable (the lead that connects the hard drive to the motherboard) Its just like having a CD-ROM and CDRW

    Ive got 2x 100 gigs on a RAID board that i got for 100 quid each and it makes one big drive 200 gigs.
