Matt remembers the PVD cancelation night... Spoke to him as part of my M8 article and this is what he had to say: "Yes that was a great night. I was in the perfect position really. I was playing to one of the best crowds in the country at one of the best clubs. The crowd and I knew each other very well and so I knew the boundaries as to what would work and what wouldnt. I can honestly say that Ive never enjoyed DJing as much as I did that night. Promise was a brilliant night for so many different reasons. But i think the main reason is that I felt like I was surrounded by friends every time I played there. The end of the night will be in my mind forever. I played "that" tune and the place melted. I remember one guy in floods of tears. You can't manufacture that kind of atmosphere in a club. I cant help but think that the closure of the night will leave a big hole in my clubbing life. However, I dont think that it would be approprite to leave it at that. I would love to come back one last time and relive that night with a 6 hour set!!! Hats off to Mark Deakin for some amazing nights!!"
Re: Matt remembers the PVD cancelation night... I think the man should be aloud to have his wish come true!
If there was a chance of one more promise after this one as a proper send off then a matt 6 hour set would be perfect
would be nice to think it could happen thinkin back to my best nights out at promise, matt was on the decks on all of them richard and matt should have the last night (if possible)
Re: Matt remembers the PVD cancelation night... Thats really nice , matt is a huge part of promise if we could have finished with corvin and matt it would have been great unfortunately i could not guarentee that would happen .
Re: Re: Matt remembers the PVD cancelation night... What about Boxing Day! The final farewell, hardwick 6hrs! i'm sure that would make everyones xmas complete! + it would be fuckin awesome
Clubbing wise it's probs the worst decision i ever made not going to this night It will go down in history
You could have one off's on bank holiday sundays like what crasher does, that way it doesnt interfer with the mainstream nights on the friday and saturdays
Re: Matt remembers the PVD cancelation night... that night was my best ever night out clubbing Matt =
aww yeah there should definitely be a last Promise with Matt on,especially seeing as Lee probs won't be able to make it on Sat night now
He cancalled before the night so we did it in aid of the ny fire fighters fund i,ve even got a letter of thanks of george bush !(honestly) its my most prized promise possesion.
hey thats great i just used to be a die hard pvd fan lol from the sounds of it this was the best promise night ever too
Without a shadow of a doubt in fact i,d go as far to say that the night was probably the best night i have ever been too .
