What do people think? Do your mates come first or does your bit on the side come first?

Personally its gotta be mates before muff, mates will be around forever, hopefully so will muff, but u never know!

Yes I know what you mean and mate's will be around forever and all that shit, but i'm trying to get back with my lass who i split up with about 5 month's ago and was seeing her for 3.5 year's and she doesn't like some of my mate's and the thing's they get upto. I have to basicly stop seeing them almost, but that is the choice I have to make. We also have a lovley little 1.5 year old son, so i'm in a no win situation really.

hopefully your mates and bird will be cool enough to let you spend time with the others, so there isnt even an issue....

depends on how long u have been with your mrs, and your feelings for her. if u feel stringly, hopefully your mates will understand your situation....etc....

That's the way son! If you haven't been together long then you have the chance to lay it out for her. The situation is that you like to come up here and party and have done for a while, she has no right at the minute to say otherwise.

I would put my lass before any mates as living far away from Cassie gets hard sometimes

As for thr clubbing Cassie loves Trance n the likes as much as i do so i wouldnt need to worry about staying in or asking if i can go !

Take for example when Van Dyks on - that to me to be there with Cassie and me mates is 100 %

It's not that I have to not see them at all, it is the fact that she know's that they have drug's when we go out and she doesn't trust me not to have any and I can't really prove to her that I wouldn't. The only way is not to go out clubbing for a while, so I may be missing for a while, you will just have to dance, chat, have a good time without me

That is but a dream for me mate. She hate's proper clubbing and the whole drug scene, etc. She love's going to Baha and that. You are soo lucky to have a girlfriend that enjoy's the same thing's. She does like going to the match though, but it cost's me an extra £30 when she want's to go.

Mate i know it must be dead hard for u to choose but u wont be happy if she rules your life. Someone who loves you shouldnt stop you goin out and having a good time. If you get back with her on those terms then u will regret it cos she will always feel like she can tell you what to do and u wont really be happy. U sound like u really wanna get back with her but u dont wanna stop goin out and having fun. Surely its posssible for you to do both. If its not, then she is being totally unreasonable.

Yeah, but you have to understand her point of view, that she doesn't want me going out to place's where i'm going to take drug's. I was in hospital a while ago because of drug's and she doesn't want that to happen again. That is the main point of whether we get back together again, that can she trust when I go to Promise and place's whether or not I will take drug's and there is no real way of her knowing for sure whether or not i will.
The only way is for me not to go out. It is really hard when all I want is to be with her and the bairn. It is horrible not being able to sleep and stuff with Aaron, I really miss the both of them so much.

Thats not really fair to choose between your mates and your partner!

I have time for both as does John - I would never make him choose either 'cos thats just selfish etc

Like John said - It's good that we both enjoy the same things ie clubbing that way we can enjoy it together with each other and our mates.

It's still alawsy nice to have time alone together and time with just our mates and we both agree with that 110%

John is my best mate aswell as my boyfriend and i wouldnt swap him for the world!

Try & keep it equal but making partner happy is ! BUT....can't just dump your pals either...

i agree with kez on this one, when they are your best mate as well as your "muff" / "man" there is no problem, especially if you have the same mates, like the same stuff, do the same things, laugh at the same stuff etc, its true for me and ness, (xpt for the laugh about the same stuff thing), but i can totally see your point, if you met someone not through your mates it can be a bit hard trying to include them with your mates, and them including you in thier mates,

if you meet a bloke (or muff)through friends its the best way,
