    Friday 13th April
    Kill The Disco Presents....

    MARCO GIANNINI
    (The Warehouse Project - Manchester)

This weekend at Pacific we throw open our arms and welcome Marco Giannini to Kill The Disco. Former resident and promoter of ShowNoShame in Manchester, Marco brought DJ's of the ilk of James Zabiela, Annie Nightingale, Atomic Hooligan and Lee Burridge down, and off the back of it's success he scored gigs all over the UK at top clubs such as Stylus in Manchester, HUM in London, Urban Gorilla in Sheffield and Tribal Sessions.

Fast forward to July 2005 and Marco was offered the opportunity to host the 2nd room of the club at the legendary Tribal Allnighters, and since then hasn't looked back. 2005/2006 was a fantastic year for Marco and he gained bookings at some fantastic clubs in the UK like Pogo (Dublin), Stealth (Nottingham), The Dirty Disco (Leeds) & The Plug (Sheffield - TBC). Music wise Marco has moved on from playing solely breakbeat to now incorporate a more eclectic range of music, covering Tech/Acid House and alot of Electronic music, in a typical set you're as likely to hear an AlexKid, !!! or Laurent Garnier record as you are to hear an old Soft Cell, Depeche Mode or Joy Division track.

Up to the present day Marco has just finished playing his part as one of the resident and promoters at the legendary Warehouse Project, which was easily one of the most audacious and outstanding ventures in clubbing ever, three months of amazing DJ's playing every weekend in a old converted brewery in Manchester, harking back to the acid house/watrehouse rave era of the late 80's/early 90's. In that time he had the chance to play alongside such names as the Cosmic Twins (Francois K + Derrick May), Luciano, Tania Vulcano, Steve Bug, Jeff Mills and loads more. As well as this Marco still holds down a weekly residency at Mission in Leeds and a monthly residency at That Sunday Thing at Gatecrasher Leeds.

Quite an impressive few years of dj'ing I'm sure you'll all agree! Another weekend and another top DJ down at Kill The Disco, come and get yourself down because we can guarantee you it will be a belter - and it's free!
