Easter Thursdays at World Headquarters have been synonymous with all forms of electronic music for as long as anyone can remember. From the now infamous and hugely popular annual Forensic Records parties at the old Marlborough Crescent club to the more recent offerings from Forensic Records, Shindig and World Headquarters themselves at Curtis Mayfield House. It’s a date that is associated with House Music in Newcastle and has witnessed some of the best parties Newcastle has had to offer. The art of the vinyl DJ is becoming a rarity with the digital format of music now common place. Physical record collections however tell a story; they are curated and nurtured with years of passion, containing records, artists and labels that have risen and fallen as the years pass. Musical gems that will probably never see the light of day in today’s digital world and unearthed classics that you never knew existed. With over 30 years of DJ’ing experience and record collecting between them, as well as holding down a respected residency at Habit before its doors closed. Scott Udberg & Mark Johnson aim to focus their Lost Art project solely on music, atmosphere and most importantly the party. Pushing sounds derived directly from a history of the club scene, regardless of age or genre.
