So last night, some guy was punched by a doorman at Kulas Bar in Sunderland. I wasnt there personally but lots of people I spoke to were. Apparently he might have died when he hit the floor as the area was cordoned off and forensics were there for ages. Not seen anything on the news yet to say if the poor bloke was ok, hope he is like.

What the fuck gives door staff the right to think they are in the middle of a cage fight and treat people the way they do? I work in clubs so I see how some piss heads go on, but theres just no need to act in the way they do. Weve had some awesome security at the places I work now, very calm and do things right, then you get others who just cant for a fight to start so they can lay someone out.

Quite sick that people get a buzz from hurting someone.

na seriously though, my lass told me the doorstaff in vogue in shields are animals, one male doorman thru a female punter down a set a metal tipped stairs onto the street

my lasses brothers best mate got brayed off 2 doorman in there they tore his shirt and trousers off in the scuffle he had to get a taxi home in boxer shorts and vest!

i hope the kid in sunderland is OK

Once in shields one lad who was lipping up to the door staff got thrown in the boot of a car and not let out until the monday after a good hiding

What if youve just unfairly been thrown out, and literally thrown out of a bar. In most cases you will question the door staff when you get out, does that give them the right to punch you and potentially kill you?

Lad i know got filled in for dropping his drink, Bar Staff said he threw it, Bouncers came over and laid into him without giving it a second thought.

Ive only been thrown out of anywhere once, i walked away lol, best way.Theres shit doorman allover, bambu/beach used to be shocking for it a couple of years back

Doorman should be there to protect the people in the club from getting filled in, not to do it themselves. Ive seen some of them do some nasty things before theres just no need

It's bloody stressful job though innit, they have to deal with some right nutters, not condoning when they step over the line, but sometimes you have to remember they're only human

Pazzaz was the fucking worst like. Couple of the doormen off there have been locked up, and were invloved with that tape going round with people getting jiggy behind pazzaz.

Correct me if im wrong, but door security are there to protect punters in venues, and indeed the venues themselves, not knock the fuck out of someone for giving them lip?

Tonight I was djing in Liquid Sunderland, some lad wanted a track which I didnt have, he responded saying 'thats shit mate', does this mean I can kick the fuck out of him???

How do you know the lad hadn't tried to attack the doorman first?

Maybe he didn't but from what I can see you don't know that for a fact.
