Luque This is taken from true faith and is so true..... He's had no pre-season with us, he's been out for 2 months with an injury, he's in a new country, learning a new language, playing a new style of football with a clueless manager and coaching staff and not surprisingly, Albert Luque hasn't set SJP alight. Certain sections of the media, especially the ones with a certain Chairman's hand up their back working them are now putting the knife into him. He may not have helped himself with some petulance at Spurs and storming out of SJP when he's been subbed or not selected plays into the hands of some who want to bury him because he hasn't be Ronaldhinio from Day One but the lad has talent. This is no Hugo Viana. Luque has done it in La Liga. He's a good player. We need to pack in the knee jerk reaction stuff and give the lad the space to relax and start playing the football we paid Deportivo £9:5M for. After all, this was a well researched and considered decision wasn't it?
when it comes down to it you dont lose being world class overnight he still holds the record for most goals in le liga ithink anyways when he got 37 goals for deportivo in 2004.
its the same with rochemback, sometimes these players take a while to settle and rocky has looked decent recently... luque should turn it around.
its the british mentality, when a foreigner comes here its hard for a while adapting to a totally differant culture, climate being miles from your family and loved ones and maybe not speaking a word of the language its as thou your isolated and then you go to work to get grief off the fans put yourself in there shoes would you instantly adapt to living in there shoes
