The difference being that Global is ticketed.

There may be a bit of a clamp down on events as far as numbers go and probably as far as free festivals of any kind go but the major problem here was the numbers of people there and the venue not supporting them.

There'll just be more stringent measure on events that are free and other events on large scale like major dance and other music festivals will just have to ensure that the numbers don't exceed those outline in the H&S guidelines.

Sad sad thing to happen though. I imagine everyone there will be feeling terrible. Thoughts go out to the victims and also to anyone who was there who might have to live with those thoughts and memories for the rest of their life.

Just read on sky news, event owners said; there will never be another love parade.

I screamed – people could no longer get any air. I saw dead people, and one person was sitting there looking extremely pale. I wanted to give him some water, but the ambulance medic told me there was no point as he was already dead."

Probably one of the saddest things i have read about it.

Just goes to show sumthing as simple can trigger off something like that. An over crowded Digital for e.g, i could imagine a fire or something breaking out in there & people getting fucking crushed to death, sometimes when i've been there it's been that rammed its took me 15mins just to get to the pisser.

Could happen anywhere crowded really, i just hope event organisers learn something from this b4 it happens again.

it nearly happened at glasto,. far too many people trying to get into one area, luckily they controlled it with a one way system and stopping the crowd entering when it was too busy. Did my tits in being stuck in a mass of people for half an hour going nowhere

well it could. But if we follow that to its logical conclusion we will never be allowed to be in a crowd again. they might like that idea a bit too much thinking about it...
