    Lost Season 3 Finale... [SPOILERS!!!]

    Ok........

Now I'm just confused.. where is this show going?
What the hell is gonna happen next year?

I was sooooooo not expecting Kate to come out of the dark towards the end..

How are they gonna get there.. if this program is about being Lost and has at least 3 years left before its conclusion then what the hell are the producers gonna do.

No questions answered.. nothing tied up.

Major Major Spoiler Alert.. if you do not wanna completly spoil the end of season 3 please do not read below!!

AND WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING OFF THE ISLAND??
    WHO IS DEAD?
    WHO IS KATE WITH?
WHY DOES JACK WANNA GO BACK..

    And lastly -

    :wtf:

Cant believe i enjoyed the finale of Lost more than I did with 24. That was a great twist at the end, how the flash backs were actually in the future. Might make things more interesting and could be what the show needs tbh

It was a much better ending than the other series.

Hurley was such a hero

The casket looked quite small so I'm guessing it was Walt or Ben, moreso Ben because Jack said he was neither friend or family. It's pointless guessing really though, especially as they have left so many avenues open as usual. You have to admit the writers are really clever like that and they can tie things up well.

I read this on another forum, it does make sense, nuber 4 is good because they like linking in bit's about philosophers and authors.

Yip.. all points erm... point to Ben.

I get the feeling that the main story for season 4 will be based around Jack trying to get back.. and the flashbacks will be what happened on the Island after the end of season 3.. ie how they were rescued.

Also makes me think that perhaps only the chosen 4 were taken off the Island.. Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley.. Hence why Jack doesn't like being called a Hero.. and giving fuel to the reason he so badly wants to get back.. Ppl are still left there..

Obviously Ben would have left too tho.. so that might invalidate what I just said lol.

At first I was a bit gutted as I felt majority of the things that happened on the Island would not get answered and couldn't really see where the writers would take this show.. but now I am gettin a little excited at the prospect of what is gonna happen!

With the twists that Lost and Prison Break are both presenting in their next seasons its gonna be a long wait.. but gonna be worth it!

Absolutely awesome ending to the series, although i'm now more confused than I ever have been about Lost.

But if that flash was in the future, howcome Jack was asking the other doctor to go and get his dad and see if he was drunker than him:spangled: His dad is alive??

Thats exactly what i thought! They were probably trying to hard to throw the veiwer off track!

Class ending! I cant see where there going to take it from here though.

Theres enough unanswered questions to go on. The black smoke and Jacob being good examples. Then theres that dark haired ''other'' who i reckon they arent finished with. What happened to Juliet? Is Des back with his Mrs? Even still i cant see how they will pan it out over a full series!

Remember the "flashes" episode (I think it was back in March) where Desmond keeps seeing Charlie die? There is one scene where Desmond is walking down some street and he sees Charlie playing a guitar and singing "Wonderwall" from Oasis for a group of passers-by who throw tips in a hat for Charlie. After the song, as the people start clearing away and Charlie empties the hat, Desmond approaches Charlie and says something like this: "CHARLIE! Is that YOU? (Charlie replies "Do I know you?) Des: "It's me, Desmond! Don't you remember me brother?? The Island! We were on a bloody island together! At this point Charlie seems almost scared. he totally denies knowing Desmond. I will BET this comes up in season 4.... Anyone remember that episode? AND, wouldn't that scene also have been a "flash-forward"?

    >edit.

sorry shoulda said that was taken from this.....

    good vibrations.

    AND...

When we see Future Jack (Fack), he is in our present more or less. He and Kate have escaped from the island. Maybe other Losties have too, but I kind of doubt it. With an exception: Walt and Michael made it back to the world too.

Jack made a decision comparable to Michael's (killing Libby and AL and deserting the rest of the Losties) that allowed him and Kate to leave. A decision that haunts him in the now. When he read that Michael (who is living under an alias) had committed suicide, he completely related to him it, and the hoplesseness and guilt drove him to stand on the edge of the bridge. He asked for forgiveness from those he sacrificed and/or left behind on the island.

Jack realizes that he can't find any peace until he has tried to fix what he did. He needs to find the island again.

when i twigged on what was going on, i nearly shit a brick.

it defo has to be ben in that case - no-one at the funeral, kate saying why would she go, jack being jutted - has to be ben thats died.

yeah, season 4 is going to be from this 'new' perspective - i.e. island action will all be in 'flashback' of them being rescued, etc, and present day of them being home - i mean, the others were heading for the 'temple' and charlie's message 'NOT PENNYS BOAT' - thats all got to come into play!.

Also, is that nikoli indestructible or what??? first the barrier didn't kill him, then the spear gun, or losing an eye at some point - THEN he holds a grenade at the window - WHY? he could have just chucked it in the door way - why swim outside to do it? and kill yourself? unless u weren't going to die.

i'm totally shocked by the ending, can't believe how much it's hooked me...........

'early next year' - i might be dead by then :(

Why didnt Charlie just shut the door behind himself instead of locking himself in? Or just swim out the porthole when the water had all came in? Why wasnt there a pocket of air above the porthole, it wouldnt have filled any higher than the porthole because the air couldnt escape.

The episode where Desmond saw Charlie busking was way in the past. After the hatch exploded he got sent back 3 years or something and was back with Penny, and the old woman told him he'd see the flashes of Charlie dying. Thats why he was scared, because he hadnt met Desmond yet and had no idea how he knew his name.

I kind of saw the fact they were fast-forwards n not flashbacks coming. Sounds like they will have left people behind and I imagine by the end of the next season Jack will manage to find his way back to the island

Wasnt the whole idea with desmonds flashes that whatever he saw had to happen in that exact way otherwise the outcome would be different. i.e charlie had to die for them to get rescued

I'm starting to think of the old theories when the show first started. How they're all dead and that island is some sort of heaven/hell or limbo inbetween the two. Maybe that's why Jack wanted to kill himself to go back.

Everyone keeps saying the plane crashed and they found all of the passengers.

Didn't the producers/writers say that they were all definately still alive and they were not in purgatory?

I think the island is lost somewhere in space/time.

I think the island is simply too mystical for us to comprehend.
