    Lost car keys issues

Iv lost my humongous bunchy of keys.. it was bound to happen someday... I think I might have left them in the front door, its a possiblity and i cant find them anywhere so iv got to take it thats whats happened.

Now the problem is if the undead have my keys they will work out theres fat Nssan 4x4 key on there and come back for my Ute.

How can I disable the truck in case the fuckers come back and whip it... iv got a disk lock but i cant get into the truck as iv got no spare key (doh)

I was thinking of letting the tyres down or trying to get a wheel clamp but i doubt they dont ones local that fit the massive wheels on a 4x4.

What do the wise ones think?

Take one of the spark plugs out, it'll be less of a ballache for u to sort out once u have keys again.

Or phone ur insurance, if u tell them what u have said above they should arrange for someone to come change the locks coz im sure they'd rather pay that then pay the value of ur car if/when its stolen

    don't let the tyres down.

Disconnect the battery, or pull the fuse for the fuel injection.

    Problem solved

As Conway says.. don't let them down.. u will fuck ya wheels.. plus.. they will fuck them more when they try and move it.

Just ring ya insurance ppl.. tell them and hope.
    Nowt u can do really.

Suppose you could drill and fix an eyebolt to a wall.. and connect your cars anchor point to it via a cord arrangement.. but this could pull out if they try and take ur car..
    Piece of mind I suppose.

i found them just as i was going to let the tyres down

they had fallen behind a radiator and some rubble fell on em

fucking nightmare! I have drilled holes the size of 50p pieces in the hallway where i thought they had fallen thru a hole in the skirting board (house renovation)

while i am on it i think i need to get a spare key cut.. its a nissan key fob with battery, i havent got the "master" but i do have the "key number"

is it a nissan dealership job or are their other options?

In the space of 1 paragraph I now know you have a 4x4, lost the keys & know the exact tools/spares to bring with me to get the car started if I want to lift it...

Thick as mince - if your worried about it going walkies a public message board is the last place you wanna announce it

I know with the ford keys, you can reprogram them yourself. All you have to do with those is get another key cut with the transponder in it (around £10), then you can program the key yourself by inserting both keys into the ignition one after the other, performing a special sequence, then follow it up with the last key. This causes the car to program the key for you.

Not sure how it works with nissans. Google around and find out.

the best way to make sure no one can steal your car is to so wire a little switch into your fuel/ignition and put it under the seat. kind of like an imobiliser but no one will have a clue how to start it except you. i did it to a mates car and its impossible to start it without flicking this hidden switch.
