Longhorn Beta?

    Longhorn Beta?

    is there one? i've seen loads of skins for XP that the geeks have created.... is there a illegitimate copy anywhere around... don't trust nowt nowadays on shareaza

    There's been beta's knocking about for donkeys - have a quick gander at suprnova, sure I've seen a couple there.

    There've also been some official beta's released for testing I think, but they're time-locked.

    Yeah there should be beta 4074.. that was the last one I had runnin..

    Seems nice.. but is still pretty buggy at the moment.
    Sometimes it would hang for no reasons.. so its pretty much the same as windows :p

    Might put it on my laptop..

    Longhorn hasnt even hit Beta yet if you want to be all 'internet know it all' on the issue - Its in Alpha stage right now,.... most of the actual technologies that differentiate Longhorn from previous copies of windows before it havent even been integrated.

    Ive heard about the 4074 builds of Longhorn but for now just consider it as Windows XP with a Nova bodykit on it - nothing special.

    Would be ok for a mess around on a partition or a second drive for a laff tho.

    Aye something stupid apparently... all the debug code bloats these things out a bit (Although knowing microsoft, they become an integral part of the operating system within time! ;) )
