Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has hailed the signing of Daniel Agger. Agger completed his move from Brondby on Thursday by signing a four-and-a-half-year deal at Anfield. The deal ends a long hunt by Benitez for Agger's signature and the Spaniard believes the Dane will prove a useful addition to his squad. "He is impressive and he can play with the ball," said Benitez. "He is a young player who has the talent we are looking for and we will try to work with him and teach him the things we want. "He has a good left foot and he gives us more options and I always talk that we need different players because they have different qualities and we can use them in different games. "We look for good players all around the world, but now in January it is more difficult to sign players as all the good players are with good teams. "I am happy to have Kromkamp and Agger, who are two big players and they are hungry players. "They have quality for the future and the present." Agger knows he faces a fight to break into the Liverpool side and he admitted he is excited at the prospect of playing in front of the club's fans. "There are a lot of great players for every position so it is going to be hard," said Agger. "Yeah the fans are great and they are maybe one of the best in the world."
