I have one, no complaints, got My Xbox 360 at 1080p and Sky HD running through it.
    Good picture and sound.

I am sure I read something somewhere that LG actually make the LCD screens for most of the big names apart from Sony ?????

Nah, LG make their own as do most of the bigger names in LCD like Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic etc but alot of their older panels get sold to smaller companies that you find in the Argos catalouge and online. If you go on ebuyer and search through their lower brands not the big ones they usually say in the description who's panel it is. Alot of them are old panels from Samsung with limited connectivity.

    Example...

I've got a 37'' LG 1080 full HD and its cool,, got it from Fenwicks last year quite reasonable, they let me pay over 12 months interest free as well,, as well as 5 year warranty.

(They had to replace it after 6 months, the screen just turned green,, not had any issues since i've had the replacement like)

Aye LG do really good LCD tv's personally i don;t find much differeence looking between any of the top models of LCD. I've got a Toshiba Regza and love it my Sisters BF has a Samsung and besides the size difference there's not much if any difference between picture on games.

Like Lee said earleir though Pioneer are the daddy's or were as they have withdrew from the market and their last Kuro model released is their last TV they are making. If money was no issue and i had a spare few grand i'd get a 50" Kuro as the picture quality is just exceptional.

As it is i'm stuck with my 32" 1080i Regza :(

ok fair enough but when your not including pioneer or b&o samsungs are by far the best, i.e the built in freeview and the picture quality on all formats are fantastic

I have to admit the picture quality on samsungs is a lot clearer in normal digital tv mode than my LG.

In HD cant see any real difference, the screen is a bit brighter on the samsungs, i think the finish on the panel has like a shiney effect (Like my laptop with the ''crystalbrite'' screen)

My Sammy broke after a day and a half. I know it was just a dodgy set but i sent it back and replaced it with a Regza with the same connectivity and better contrast and aspect ratio for cheaper and love it.
