Lets Hope Your Not Eating IPOH July 12 - A 34-year-old man, believed to be mentally deranged, cut his penis, burnt and ate it at his house in Kampung Baru in Kampung Koh, Sitiawan, early Saturday. A police spokesman said the man, believed to have taken hallucinatory pills before the incident, is said to have done so after hearing a voice asking him to do so. He said the man was awoken at about 1 am on hearing a voice asking him to cut his penis, burn and eat it. "The man then wrapped his penis in a piece of cloth, burnt, and ate it," he said. He said the man realised something was wrong when he saw blood flowing profusely from his severed private part. The man then woke up his mother and related to her the incident. He was rushed to the Manjung Hospital but was transferred to the Ipoh Hospital for further treatment. "The man is said to be in stable condition, but was facing problems in urinating as the urinary tract has been severed," he said. Preliminary investigations showed the man, who lives with his mother, is suffering from mental problems. Meanwhile, the mother, when met at her house, said her son had been "mentally disturbed" since returning from a drug rehabilitation centre recently. "My son took hallucinatory pills before the incident. He once tried to commit suicide by using a pair of scissors to stab his head, but was saved. He also often keeps to himself in his room," said the woman, who declined to be identified.
