Over the last two years we have been driven towards creating a brand that can attract the most in demand names in the industry. After our unforgettable 1st Birthday with Jay Haze last year, we welcome one of our summer guests back to take the helm for our most recent birthday celebrations. Sascha Dive and his ‘Deep Vibes Recordings’ imprint have emerged as one of the most popular and sought after sounds in recent years. Being influenced early on in his musical upbringing has had much to do with the shaping of his own unique style, influenced heavily by the soul and the funk of James Brown and B.T. Express. That, entwined with acts such as Larry Heard, Theo Parrish and Moodyman, has helped him produce a sound which has elements of house, soul and funk, driven by the heavy, rolling kicks and compressed synths of the ‘Frankfurt’ sound. Sascha impressed so much when we had him over in the summer, we have allowed him full control on the night, twisting his sound over 3 hours. Sascha follows in the footsteps of some of the most exciting acts of recent times. We welcomed Rhadoo in September for a our excellent ‘Freshers’ party, we had a UK exclusive booking of Johnny D at our party on the opening day of the year as well as celebrating our first jaunt over in Barcelona, alongside 2020 Vision at Le Terrazza club, at last year’s Sonar festival. With a collaboration with Leeds based clothing line ‘Electronic Poet’ confirmed for Spring, and the launch of our new podcast set for the coming weeks, mono_cult hopes you can join us for an extra special birthday celebration.
