It's a total joke. Did you see the two posties?

"Ok, well enjoy your pint"

The pubs in Scotland have been opened till 1AM for years and there's never any bother.

I dont get what all the fuss is about either - it's not as if its only now that people can drink after 11, which is what they seem to be rabbiting on about

"Oh yes well late night drinking will cause trouble" - theres loads of late bars and clubs anyway......fools.

The media hype about this is a joke

Just seen the news this morning

'I'm reporting from newcastle which has over 600 bars'

'suprisingly the night was quite quiet last night but I've been told by locals that thursday isnt a very busy night'

'A lot of bars did not open for their full licence but many told me they were waiting until the weekend to stay open longer'

Don't think you need a degree in journalism to work that one out:lol:

its just gonna make things worse, especially with the so-called 'partys over campaign' there was loads of trouble lastnight down the bigg market.

The thing is tho the Bigg Market is generally a troublesome place as we all know, there will always be bother there.

Bars like Kiss already stay open until 1 - so I don't see why the new laws would really make a difference down there?
