    i'm after a laptop can get a TOSHIBA EQUIUM A200-1VO for £379

    is that a good price and is it a decent laptop? any other i should look at with about the same spec/price?

    Where is that from?

    My mate wants one for £300-£400 to do basic stuff like surf the net, download, listen to music, update ipod etc.

    Any recommendations?

    was from pc world, look on the net for pc world discount codes and you'll get it cheaper

    i'm settling for this instead dell inspiron 1525

    If you're looking at dell, try clicking on the small business links and look at the vostro. seem to be quite a bit cheaper than inspirion with similar spec - just be sure to remove the 3 year next day warranty thing...
