Lampard must be axed Hes playing fucking shit and is stiffleing Stevie G in the formation. Play Carrick DFM with SG in a free role or AM. How come England are the only team in the World Cup without someone in the DFM position? its arguably the most important postion in modern football and we dont have one. Its madness. Lennon and Downing also have massive part to play.........id love Lennon to start but dont know how to work him into the team with Becks being undroppable.
After tonight's peroformance I've gotta agree......Sven must show some balls and drop him, give him a kick up the arse! As far as Lennon goes I'd keep him for the bench, gem in the pack to bring on after an hour or so if we're under the cosh!
Lamps is not fitting in like problem is that prick sven will only put hargreaves in to replace him . I think lennon deserves a chance stick becks centre mid and let the kid tear into the fullbacks ! Firts time he got the basll last night he left the fullback in his wake no one can handle his pace and him and becks played well together .
with the group prob now won he shud deffo do summit a little different, maybe putting lennon in on the other flank 4 cole, carrick in for lampard and moving gerrard forward... it would rest a few players aswell!

we have some excellent midfield passers and players with pace... its the formation that is the problem. if carrick plays and a striker drops off then there is room for lampard and gerrard... + lennon if beckham dropped central. downing and lennon of the wings could be fantastic later in games to stretch the opposition. it could be done its just sven's tactical nous can be faulted at times. a lesson could be learned from the argies who have a midfield trio of mascherano, cambiasso and riquelme... no reason why england couldnt play to our strengths in midfield.
