    Keyboard issue

Bought a new keyboard yesterday, when the pc is turned on all the lights (num lock etc) light up, but then nothing works.

I've tried taking it out, turning the pc off and starting again, but nothing happens at all.

    Any suggestions?

    usb?

if it is, what happens if the turn the Pc on first, let it boot up completely THEN turn plug it in
if it's a USB keyboard, try it on another PC or laptop. if it does the same, it's the keyboard thats stuffed.

    No mate, it's a PS/2 keyboard (think that's right)

My old keyboard works fine in the same socket, but this one comes on, then does nothing.

    it'll be a round plug if it's PS/2 - square/flat for USB

try it in another PC - sounds like it's fucked
