Seems a strange one on the face of it though theres definitely better out there. I'll reserve judgement until the end of the transfer window......
Bruce - "I wish him well. The deal is not over the line, but if it does then I think it would be in the interests of all parties. "There has always been a frustration with me and I think with supporters who have watched Kenwyne that you see an abundance of talent but it has not come out often enough for us for whatever reason. "In management you get paid to make some important decisions sometimes. Stoke have been badgering me for a year. Everyone knows they love a big, traditional centre-forward and he might go and suit them. "Towards the end with Kenwyne, things were not working out so I have accepted Stoke's offer and given him permission to speak to them." Basically saying hes too inconsistent, which I think every Sunderland fan would have to agree with. Its a big decision though one that hes had to balls to make. We'll see who comes in in his place......
Imagine if my aunty had bollocks, she's be my uncle. Edit: We may still loose him, the knackers up at Crown Court in October.
Good Business aslong as he gets someone else in sharpish, Wellbeck on loan isnt the signing Im looking for either
its only good business if yous replace the fucker asap. going into the new season with only 1 proven prem striker is asking for trouble. the obvious named will no doubt pop up in the next few days, Robbie Keane maybe even Craig Bellamy. i think Jones is a decent player, yet every sunderland fan i know gives him loads of stick, he's effective and he will fit into the stoke side really well
Hes a quality player for about one in every three games.Ive no doubt he will do well at stoke. He will fit into there style of play nicely
Be interesting to see how effective Bent will be, as he will have to do the donkey work being the big man upfront as Campbell/Waggy/Wellbeck (did he join) wont be doing that.
I'd imagine Bellamy would be money well spent on the back of last season he was immense for Man City. Problem there is though Man City don't want to sell him to a rival club like Spurs and he wants to win something. The way he spoke about Hughes in his interview the other day it sounds like Fulham would be his preferred choice if it's not to a big club. As for Robbie Keane, did him and Bent play much together at Spurs and did they work well together in the few games they played?
