he hasnt managed a club for three years and did a mediocre job at man city. houllier, ranieri, hitzfeld or anyone could do a better job

class, I'm surprisingly happy now I've had 2 minutes to think about it. The buzz around the toon when he was manager first time around was phenomenal, hope he can cause anything like the same buzz again.

Terrible appointment imo. As you've pointed out, there's a reason he's not been in a job for three years.

Yes he might have been a success a few years back but the Premiership was a lot poorer back then.

this is still the guy that dragged newcastle out of the second division and upto 2nd place in the premiership.

even if you judge him on man city, it was only his last full season that was a bit shit, his first 2 seasons were pretty much outstanding...

at the end of the day would you prefer to be getting spanked 6-0 by man united, or spanking them 5-0?

Aye it might seem like ive been a proper miserable bastard in all my posts regarding the Toon but the majority of the fans need to realise were not the team we think we are.

The attacking style will be a massive bonus & it'll certainly bring a nice buzz around the place like Gav said but will it bring owt else? In my opinion it wont :(

There wasnt exactly many of you saying 'we should appoint Keegan' in the other threads.

    P.s

Ive got massive respect for Keegan, he's a legend at the club. This for me tho, is the wrong decision

Even tho I think its the wrong decision, he's got my full backing. The same with Allardyce etc
