    Kazaa alternative

    What is a better program than Kazaa and where can I download it?

    I hav heard ppl talking about Direct connect, emule, and supernova. What are these and where can I get them from?

    Yeah, i was gonna say soulseek too, its good!

    Supernova uses a program called BitTorrent...its a different type of thing, its mainly for albums, films, games and programs though...its not as simple as kazaa.

    PS - I've never had a problem with kazaa and system resources!

    don't get shareaza if you've got a nat router thingy, cos it jus fukks up your connection an peeps don't like letting you download off them cos it looks like you're leaching...

    If you have a router, you need to set port forwarding (using commandline or whatever tool you have to configure your router with) to forward all ports used by the P2P application your using ... to forward to the same ports but on the internal IP address of the computer your using to run the actual application.

    Otherwise you can have some major problems getting any P2P software working....

    had loads of probs with the router when shareaza was being used, pretty much none when kazaa an shit was used, could've jus been the way the router was set up of something, i dunno...

    in the end jus deleted it from my comp an had no probs wi it since...
