Just out of boredom (and interest..) Ok, on a previous thread, I came to the conclusion that, surprisingly, not many people had heard of miguel migs, lets have a show of hands to prove me wrong and tell me what you think of him... :groovy:
If you mean 'Piha', that's by Ian Pooley & Majik J Miguel Migs is class! Just done a mix with some of his stuff on actually. I haven't heard that Defected compilation, but his productions are consistently outstanding. I'd love to see him!
ive heard of miguel, id also like to see him play. rather see jay j and chris lum ive got piha on vinyl, i love that track. fly shuffle by ian pooley is shit hot as well!
'Fly Shuffle' is aight, 'Piha' is good, but sounds like somewhat of a loop tool. 'Balmes' is his best production IMO
Yeah, I agree with that. I just got the compilation album that he did (In the house)with Jay-J, it's pretty good.
i like the look of that as well, think im gonna invest in the new sandy rivera one as well. he was wicked on sat at shindig, he signed my records for me cos i met him afterwards
wouldnt have minded seein sandy rivera if id still been up that way! have heard of miguel migs but cant think what at the mo... :chill:
Twat! Two Rivera tunes floating about atm... 'I Can't Stop', which is actually a re-release, with it originally being from 2001's 'Class Is In Session EP', which I belueve is on Deep Vision. Check out the Pound Boys mix of this tune on Defected tho, superb! 'Changes' is another one of his productions blowing up on the right floors atm. Also on Defected, it's on two 12"s. Only heard 1, the remixes, which features Ben Watt and MJ Cole mixes. BUY THIS! Ben Watt remix is the best tune of its sound I've heard in ages!
his production is tight, but find much of what he actually does pretty dull. He seems to re-tread the same ground too often. He's not bad, just not very interesting, like he got trapped in a musical cul-de-sac.
Yeah I know how you mean. To be honest I don't think I like any of his original productions, just remixes of them His remix of Jamie Lewis/Michael Watford - For You was pretty good a few years back tho
i got the original of finally on distance signed, plus the tenaglia mixes on defected. he wrote 'time marches on never ending' on the original ive got changes as well, scott bradford used to play it in his warm up sets b4 xmas
