Can't disagree wif that lyk! Never had a shit night in there nd a didn't miss one of them! A remember Connell's set when he was on wif Mac Zimms nd he tore 'Lunar Eclipse' 2 pieces. Got any amounts of class memories of the place, even more than a have of Promise @ Foundation.
Junior:G was an unreal night, and never have I seen so many fresh new DJ's month in month out from such a small underground night, it really created a buzz around Newcastle once it got on it's feet & Iv'e got some great memories! ... I cant say too much, but Junior:G is CERTAINLY not over
I don't think it will be the same if its not back at Cosmic. I can proudly say I only missed one all of which were class. Bryan Kearney and Barrys Connells sets stick in mind..also the first time Tyas played.
Think the best thing about Junior:G at Cosmic was, when i use to walk in, id stop & look at the wall above the door and see this big flashing Sign saying, Spacey, Its The Weekend, Fuck Reality and ofcourse Meetin all the lads, Proudy, baz when he was there, Nat, kettle etc etc. Good times!!... and good times on the way :angel3:
always in the top three of clubbing experiances for me, every single time. and proudy - i've got your number on that score
Were gunna see how things go & were hoping to do a Recycled in September at the Cosmic. Im not sure where Junior:G will end up to be honest but I know for certain it is making a comeback.
I think the Junior:G Tour thing was just let the rosta of DJ's they have get into the smaller clubs, they used the Junior:G name for that as the Goodgreef brand is predominantly renowned for events/parties at bigger clubs with higher calibre DJ's. I personally know theres a few dates pencilled in for after the summer & in the lead up to xmas with GG, but again I cant say too much as I'll get bollocked.
Thats good to know like deffos, about JG & GG, shame though about Tall Trees, think the only trance its had lately is a gatecrasher classics event what was rather dead, another GG event back there wud put a spring in my step as far as i know about JG ill need extra Taxi funds but itl b worth it.
i'd be happy if i never went to talltrees again, had some good nights in there but it needs to be put to bed i reckon.
In a way ur right but in a way half of the North East wud dissagree, alot of people & Djs av asked "what got u ino trance n what was ur most influential Venue in the northeast to start u off on a trance journey" n theve all Included Goodgreef's @ Tall trees, were all sorted like weve done and dusted the good times, but what the fucks the new comers got to push them into Trance Goodgreef Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, all events that r expensive to coz there all over the UK. Id say the only Perm events to push the new comers into trance for good where they wud go WOW lights, lasers! Good Tunes! lol is Evolve, Neuroscience & again Promise, n ofcours JG when its back on its feet. Id deffos be back at tall trees if it was bought over or Kited out a bit for a Goodgreef or crasher, sumthin resident at the place for a while
