One of the olympians, Tony Jefferies is on tonight on friday fight night aswell mate. Decent weekend for boxing
i'll deffo watch the re-run of the juan manuel marquez fight on sunday, and try not to find out the result... i am out tonight and Sat so i will miss the Olympians... not really bothered like, they will all be fighting "carefully chosen opponents" anyway
The olympians opponents all sound like illegal immigrants Friday, February 27 European Super-Bantamweight title Rendall Munroe v Kiko Martinez Light-heavyweight contest Tony Jeffries v Aliaksandr Vayavoda Saturday, February 28 Four rounds Middleweight James DeGale v Vepkhia Tchilaia Four rounds Light-Welterweight Frankie Gavin v Georga Kadaria Four rounds Light-Welterweight Billy Joe Saunders v Attila Molnar Commonwealth Heavyweight Title Matt Skelton v Martin Rogan
what a fucking waste of time, looks like these cunts are going to fight nobodies and cannon fodder for the 1st few years of their careers as well just like Kahn. they should hoy Jefferies in with Kessler or even Haye for a laugh, see the "mighty mackum" (stupid red and white cunt ) get opened up
It is mate but its because clearly 90% of them wont make the grade, Audley Harrison looked awesome in the olympics but he was never ever going to be anything special.Promotors want to snap the olympians up on the back of the hype from the olympics knowing that most of them arent that special but in the short term are decent money spinners. I know Tony Jefferies, he lived in my street when I was a kid and hes boxed since he was about 4 but I know he never took it seriously until he was about 19-20 and he still likes a good drink these days so hes never going to be in contention for anything better than british/commonwealth titles in my opinion. I cant see any of 2008's olympians doing much to be honest.Tyson Fury looks a much more exciting prospect than any of them as he seems to have talent and strength but until he gets put in with better opponents we'll never know.
Time will tell mate, amateurs is another world compared to the pros, nobody knows if any of these lads can take a good punch yet because of the amateur rules

What a quality fight Marquez Vs Diaz was.Back and forth all the way and an awesome knockout at the end. After watching that fight and alot of Marquez and Diaz's fights over the last coupleof weeks I just cant see Khan competing with these blokes.I know hes a big puncher but couldnt see him knocking Marquez out and couldnt see him being able to keep up the pace Marquez fights at for long. Its a mint weight to watch the lightweights
Marquez did well to weather the early round pressure from Diaz. Great fight though and cracking KO. Bet Diaz is gutted he didn't punish Marquez when he had him wobbled in the 3rd i think it was?
think there defo's should be a marquez pacquioa III never seen the first one, but seen the second and i thought marquez won
