While Gabriel & Dresden’s work remains in the hearts of many fans - so much so that they were represented again this year in DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll - Gabriel’s solo style has evolved, achieving the difficult feat of cross genre acceptance and achieving rotation from house heavy weights including: John Digweed, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg and Danny Howells. Expect a potent mixture of the familiar with the new with critics also taking notice of Josh's cutting edge music and inovative production techniques for the likes of Toolroom and Organized Nature. We welcome such epic house with an undeniable focus on melodic, progressive sounds to Shindig's main room this week. Support from Del. With an emphasis on percussion and organic drums, there are a handful of artists, recently responsible for bridging the house and techno divide in a way that has spoken to DJs across the entire spectrum. Mannheim’s Cecille Record’s boss Nick Curly exploded on to the scene in 2008 with a string of releases on 8Bit and Supernature as well as recent deep techno outings on Get Physical, Mobilee and German giant Cocoon. As an undeniably integral part of the electronic scene his effortless killer percussive grooves laid out to a classic old school platform have credited him with the resurrection and renewed interest of deep house. Nick's touring schedule alone shows why theres such an amout of buzz around his name and we're extremely excited to be bringing the leader of the "Mannheim" sound to the city. With support from Neil Bainbridge, no doubt the Terrace Bar will be rolling over with chunky, room filling drums. Official Pre Club Bar at Tokyo , Westgate Rd.
