i wasnt there for him :( nunez was ok, started off pretty good but then got far too minimal for me, almost like warm up music for an hour mid set... he finished nicely tho, his last half hour or so was cool! and he finished with so much love to give again ;)

    Nunez was fantastic last night!

Got surprisingly very dark and very tribal, very nice! :D

Was loving it when he played Kobbe & Fabb'X - Abyss, which I'd been hoping he'd play all night, and then put Palmrich - Come & Give Me Something into it!

Played Erro - Change too

This guy is fantastic live like. Watching a Subliminal DVd I have, he says "I just love working the clubs, it's like remixing a track live", and he don't lie ;)

Hehe! I know. Actually it is my new lady, she is a bad infuence. She didnt even go last nite and i still went anyway. lol

Nunez was top drawer last night though. He started off with what id describe as very "housey" house and then got a lot darker and more twisted later on. Had me dancing most of the night. In fact, unusually for Shindig, it wasnt too busy last nite, which really helped me enjoy it more cos i had room to dance! :D

And what was that tune he played? It was early in his set i think and was about 15 minutes long. It was a reworking of an old tune with the lyrics "its a new dawn, its a new day" and it just seemed to build and build for so long, and when it got there . . . :D I think someone told me what it was called but i cant remember the name now and cant remember who told me either. :spangled:

i went, and i have to say i was very impressed.
i stayed behind for drinks afterwards, and i stood chatting to jose for about 45 mins, he is such a nice guy, was well impressde with him.
he even gave me one of his dollar bills and signed it for me, he seemed really humbled that me and my mate wanted to stand chatting to him.
we asked him during his set to play the inside, and he obliged, for which i thanked him afterwards.
it was such a good experience chatting to him, cos he is one of my favourite dj's

    tunes i remembered:
    so much love to give
saffron hill, my love is always there
bob sinclar the beat goes on
    junior jack thrill me
e funk feat donica thorton, shout
    jose nunez the inside
who da funk sting me red.

all in all a great night, even better getting to meet the man. the joys of going out with someone who works there!

He may well be a nice guy i don't doubt that but as far as house goes that tracklist is pretty standard issue.

I knew he was gona play 'The Inside' last when he dropped 'Sting Me Red' at 10 to 3. Ask Orbit ;)

Didn't really enjoy the latter part of his set, thought there were a few too many big tunes. He started nicely, and his peak, for me, was Erro - Change. Got darker and played some very, very nice tribal stuff too, but got a bit shitty toward the end.

One tune I was hoping he'd drop but didnt...
Mr Hermano - Free As The Morning Sun (The Scumfrog Mix) :(
