John O'Bir Played some tune @ Gods last friday towards the end of his set - i asked on the GC board but had nee reply Basically it sounds lie "Svenson & Gielen - Twisted" does after the breakdown how it just rises and rises except this tune O'bir played just sounded like it was never going to ! It was trancey as and canny banging to say the least, i thought maybe even he would of posted his set on his board but i cant seem to find it anywhere ! Revel anyone ??? Cheers
Its not Katana - its alot more driving and trancier ! I have emailed him anyways cos "were like brothers" See what his banter is in the email, @ Gods he just used CD's all night and his blending was as tight as fuck Bit gutted i didnt see him last night but there's money to be made today and plenty other opportunitys !
Well it aint exactly hard to mix using CD decks! any tom, Dick or harry could pull off a could set using them He was still awesome lastnight tho, played some lush trance
So you think you could mix for 4hrs flat on CD's only and have no faults at all like John O'Bir ?? Some DJ's struggle on normal record decks man never mind CD decks, i thought he was outstanding and from what it sounds last night he was the same again !
I didnt say that! i sed if you kno what your doing, its not very hard to mix on CD decks! theres not really any skill involved in using them! Yeah Jon O'bir was amazing lastnight! Solid Globe - Sahara
CD decks are no more easier to use than vinyl i bet - Its also getting more and more obvious that alot of DJ's are preferring to use them for a larger and larger portion of their sets (and 100% of them in more cases) PVD dj's only on sound files on a laptop these days - he's still class tho CD's are here to stay - and gladfully so
johns mixing is tight, his mixes are generally short too so less chance for error. personally i prefer the analogue vinyl decks as they are much more accurate than cdjs
is that the one with "don't hold back the music, better let it move ya" in? If so its lightscape - inner warmth A nice tune, though I do feel the vocal adds a smattering of cheddar to it Haven't posted on this thread yet but wanted to say that O'Bir was class on Fri, played an absolute blinder - get him back asap
