Jaunt> & Pleasure Centre♥ presents... PEZZNER - 23/07/10 @ Russian Bar, London With such similar ethos' involving forward thought, the highly innovative and dance floor orientated parties held by Newcastle’s Jaunt and Leeds’ Pleasure Centre have shown the light towards the start of a musical collaboration that’s about to land on the capital ready to share their unique take of house music. Be part of the start... Jaunt>.... In just under three years they’ve seen two summers holding weekly workers parties in Ibiza’s famous Savannah’s back room, three winters hosting some of Newcastle’s most talked about atmospheres this autumn are set to bring Circo Loco to the city, what better time to start a love affair in London alongside the continuation of their monthly Jaunts up North. The Pleasure Centre... Spawned from the cocooned backdrop of Leeds’ notorious student basement party scene, The Pleasure Centre was nurtured to play host to world class talent such as Matthias Tanzmann, Nick Curly, Makam and Simon Baker. Whilst ever retaining their trademark party ethics and atmosphere, attuned followers continue to discover The Pleasure Centre - in more mature environments - and most never really leave. These two friendly forces will now combine their passion of searching for, and delivering, positive sounds to the music loving masses and throw parties for good times, good music and maybe more... Jaunt>&Pleasure♥ with... PEZZNER (Freerange Records / Ablum Tour) www.myspace.com/pezznermusic What better way for us to state the intentions of this coalition than by bringing Pezzner to the party? It’s fairly safe to say that after 16 years in the music industry, Seattle based producer Pezzner has injected a breath of fresh air into dance music since he released his debut solo EP on Freerange in 2008. US label OM quickly showed an interest in his original material, as did a whole host of other labels wanting the Pezzner touch on remixes including Shaboom, Ghostly International, Neurotrax and Room With A View. The sounds this man has been putting out as of late have been absolutely blowing us away. Steering well clear of the monotomous and generic style that become so synonymous with dance music, Pezzner is truly creating 'soundscapes'. With his rich, disco-influenced sound, combined with trademark hypnotic and driving deep house patterns, this man is creating timeless and epic pieces of music. Come and catch this extremely rare oppoutunity to see a true music artist go to work. Pezzner’s ‘The Tracks Are Alive’ will be released on June 14th, 2010 Support on the night from... My my, a Jaunt night in my very own backyard and i never even knew about it! Is Pezzner the producer who did 'two drops' or something? I remember buying that last year after seeing it on a Sasha liveset tracklist.
He remixed a tune called 'Two Dots' that Sasha could be banging out, the Fancuilli mix of that is superb too. You going to come along like Brid? X
Ahhh yeah thats the one. I have it at home - good tune. Bit of a long shot for me - never knew it was on and my work have asked me to work on saturday .... which kind of ruins the chances of getting out and getting my happy face on. Still - theres a 30% chance i wont be asked to work over the weekend, so you may very well see me. Nice to see Jaunt doing London events - more of those please
Shame you couldnt have come down like Brid, went swimmingly well - Russian bar and the staff are cool as mustard and the place was full of smiling faces and massive pupils (winner combo) We will be starting them there monthly as of September (alongside Newcastle Jaunts) so you'll be able to get amongst it
cheers mate, yeah we were all really pleased with how well it went, the place was rammed and weve got it monthly from september so we can get something proper going down there weve got some canny deep bookings who are right up your street lined up so you should get yourself down for one of them
have been thinking of a weekend sesh in london for a little while, some of my mates go down regularly, would definitely be worth a trip once yous get going in september.
