jailbreaking iphones has anyone on here ever done this? Looks worth doing like. Mines on its way in the post from o2. http://sleepers.net/2008/09/06/why-jailbreak-iphone/
My sons got an old iphone, over a year old now, he has done this to his. He says it frees up a lot more options in the phone but at the same time he said it has slowed it down and he regrets doing it now.
I wouldnt bother with it, id hate to think i would fuck something and then regret it and not have a clue what i have done. I'm more than happy as i am with it at the moment.
well said! however, the jailbreak process is totally reversible, you can just do a restore via itunes however, i like it as it is...and i've already had one replacement cos two DAYS after i owned it some tit spilled a round of jagerbombs all over me and fucked it
Obvious ones are eBay, Google and Facebook. Others: - Last.fm - Shazam - Where (helps you find stuff) - Truveo (video app) - Movies (film times etc) - Fring (MSN messenger, Skype etc) I also use Remote (control iTunes library over WiFi) and VLC Remote (for VLC obv) I actually bought one...LogMeIn Ignition, which allows me to connect to my home/work/whatever other PC from anywhere. These all work well over 3G too.
For once I was stunned (in a good way!) with o2's Customer Serivce they wouldnt really give me a deal on it, but it was there the next morning. I didnt have a 3G sim card...that was there within a day also and when mine "went faulty" (the jagerbomb incident) the immediately shipped a replacement and didn't ask for the old one back first, they just took it on delivery of the new one!
Got iphone today, yep the cameras shit, i have a panasonic lumix anyway but fuck the camera on it. Wow what a gadget! Amazing!! More App recommendations plz!
Currently I don't have any more reccomendations. However I may look into Jailbreaking. A colleague has done it and it's opened up a whole load of new shit which is well suited to a geek such as myself. More info coming!
