I've lost my job!

What a twat. I didnt go to work cos Im full of cold so I rang in sick, and they were fine about it. Then I rang the agency that employs me and they'd already been told by my manager that she was gonna sack me when I got to work this morning!

Apparantly I she feels I couldnt do my job but I was meant to be on 3 months trial. How many people do u know who can be completely up to scratch with a new job after 2 and a half weeks???????

Its all harsh as fuck if u ask me!!!!!!!!

Didnt like them anyway but thats not the point!!!!!!

But Ive gone back to my old agency to get my old job back and should be able to start on Monday, its only factory work but its better than nothing, and it'll suffice til I find something better. And as long as I dont end up on the dole I aint too fussed for now!

Ive just been emailed a meeting request for tommorow morning at 9 with the boss so its d day tommorow. Funny how its also the same day i get paid

Unfortunately not cos the agency only give u a temp contract so you have no rights. Dunno why it was a temp contract tho, the job was permanent, or they made it out to be anyway

which agency is it?? what was your job role?

It was Adelphi Associates in Felling. I was working for FCP Business Solutions doing telesales (they had the job title of business consultant tho)

I started my working life at BT in Longbenton when I'd just turned 18 but it was only part time and that was agency too. Two days after I left they gave loads of people permanent contracts and my name was on the list for one, I was well gutted.

Dont think theres anything I can do about them sacking me like that. Firms use agencies so they can get away with treating people like that!!!!!! Then its down to the agency to find u a new job but I think I'm gonna tell Adelphi where to go!!! I dont want to end up with another job like that. Im going back to Staffsign cos I know I can trust them. Theyre giving me temp work in the Consett area until they can find something better.

The thing that really pisses me off about my job situation since June is that all that time Ive had a fecking ace job offered to me but they havent got a position free yet!!!!

Ive been offered a job at Lloyds TSB as a personal accounts manager as soon as theres one available in the Durham/Consett/Stanley/Chester le Street area, but Im still waiting!!!!!!!

How frustrating is it working more hours than I will be here and getting less than half the money too!!!!
