iTunes/iPod help my computer has fucked up and wont come on anymore, i have all my 600 cdr in itunes and i am worried that when i get it fixed the tunes will no longer be in itunes any more. i dont have them copied to discs as i sold them with a setup a while back. i have them on my ipod aswell and was wondering if any one knew if there was a way of saving these tunes or some way of copying them to another computer????? any help would be much appreciated as i havent got a clue when it comes to all this technical stuff lol. cheers
There's loads of programmes you can download to use to put tunes from your ipod to another computer. The one I use is called idump. Just google it, it's fairly easy to use and self-explanatory
You can do it without a program Stick your ipod into a computer and it should show up as an additional hard drive, go into the hardrive and then go to tools and folder options, then into view and choose the option to show hidden files and folders There should be a folder called music or ipod music or something like that, copy this onto the computer and then gointo itunes and file then add folder to libary, choose the folder you have just copied over and you should have the entire ipod contents in itunes
Its always been ok when l've done it in the past and with a mates They were both third gen though, so might be dependant on generation
